These spoons have been amazing for a ridiculous number of species. I grew up in the pacific northwest and got into spey fly fishing for steelhead, but ended up moving to the Gulf Coast for school and had to adapt. I still wanted to use my two-hand fly setup (not necessarily with flies), but wanted something that could draw in strikes and cover a lot of water. I bought a bunch of the 1/32 ounce spoons in several colors (Red Devle and Five of Diamonds are my favorites), added a split ring and mini-swivel to the back, replaced the hook with a small siwash, and added a 0/0 flicker blade above the hook. I’ve probably landed a few hundred Redfish, Seatrout, Flounder using this setup, and a few of the Redfish were close to 15lbs. Whether your after stocker trout or big redfish, these spoons won’t disappoint.
